1.Location of the SD card slot is an engineering blunder. On my particular XT-20 (maybe everyone's?), when the SD card is inserted it sits dead even with the battery. There is no height difference between them and there's no gap between them in that little space so ejecting the SD card requires some fingernail ballet. I quickly tired of this and figured out the wireless transfer option, which is easy and pretty fast. But you can't keep shooting while this is happening, I don't think. If I'm wrong, I'd love to know as much as you. I have no difficulty to take out the SD card from the camera. You just press against SD card and it jumps out. Yes, of course, you just press it and it jumps out.
The issue, at least with mine and the way the card seats, is that it sits flush with the battery in a compartment with no gap between them and the SD card flush up against the side wall. So there's nothing actually sticking out to press on.the battery and SD card form one flat surface in a tiny space.
